After upgrading to Windows 11 version 24H2, I found that printing documents with the HP Laser MFP 1136w Printer results in a page of error message being printed. However, printing PDFs via HP Smart Assistant works fine. I have tried various solutions, such as using HP Smart to repair, changing network connection methods, and re-adding the printer, but none of these have worked.
Solution
After troubleshooting, I found that after upgrading to 24H2, Windows assigns the default driver Microsoft IPP Class Driver to the printer. To resolve the issue, go to Settings > Bluetooth & Devices > Printers & Scanners, and open the specific printer settings page. Then, click on Printer Properties, navigate to the Advanced tab, and change the driver to the printer’s designated HP driver. This should resolve the issue.

解决方案
排查后发现是升级到24h2后Windows为打印机分配的驱动程序会回到默认的Microsoft IPP Class Driver

页面,接着把驱动程序变更为HP指定的打印机驱动程序即可解决该问题。
